Access to the centre
Jackson Square is fully accessible with step free access into the Centre from Potter Street and Riverside. We also have a lift providing access to and from Bridge Street.
The Jackson Square Car Park is conveniently located adjacent to the Centre. Larger parking bays are located on both floors of the car park. Blue Badge holders are able to park in the car park free of charge but must display their blue badge at all times. We encourage you to use the designated blue badge spaces as a priority when available.
The car park is managed by East Herts District Council. For any other parking enquiries please call 01279 655 261 (EHDC) or email [email protected]
Accessible toilet facilities are located near to the Centre’s Riverside entrance. Facilities are secured with a RADAR key to prevent misuse. Should you not have a RADAR key on you during your visit and require access, please ask a member of the Centre team who will be happy to assist. Additional accessible toilet facilities can also be found within Starbucks and Sainsbury’s.
Trained assistance dogs are welcomed throughout the entire Centre. All other dogs are permitted within the public mall areas but are subject to each shop’s own internal policy.
ShopMobility UK is a nationwide network offering mobility equipment to the public for hire. This includes manual wheelchairs, powerchairs and mobility scooters so that people with restricted mobility can enjoy independence outdoors.
The dedicated team at Bishop’s Wellbeing will ensure you are confident about using their equipment before you go on your way to enjoy Jackson Square and the local town.
It is advisable to prebook mobility equipment ahead of your visit by calling 01279 942100 or emailing [email protected]
